Tallyfurs Logo Aug. 17th, 2011 @ 12:12 pm
I would like to have a logo designed for the TallyFurs. Perhaps one that we can get printed on shirts etc. I am currently working to bring up a website for Tallyfurs to act as a landing page for the area with several components:

- a phone directory behind a login for members to be able to call each other
- an events calender
- an embedded LJ and Twitter Feed
- a photo gallery
- basic information about what is a furry
- information on how to access the Textplus feed
- other information that the community feels is pertinent

I know we have quite a few good artists in the community and I would like to have you guys help develop a logo or even a couple logos that we can use on our site. Lets try to make this a collaborative effort that represents the entire community.

NW Florida Fall Furry Picnic Aug. 16th, 2011 @ 02:10 pm
Ok, since there is no way to coordinate everyone's schedule, I will go ahead and just pick a date and hope most people can attend.

I have looked at http://en.wikifur.com/wiki/Template:Upcoming_events and there are no MAJOR events going on for the October 1, 2011 weekend. Unfortunately this is not a holiday weekend so people may be limited on availability to travel, but here we go.

The only other near by events for October are
Furloween 2011 Will be held October 29th
Elliott's Fall Festival will be 22-23 October, 2011

Please review this before I post it to the Florida Furs list and request Alabama and Georgia also post. Let me know if you see any issues

Date - October 1, 2011
Times - 10 AM to 2 PM or whenever we end
Location - Dr. Julian G. Bruce St. George Island State Park (http://www.floridastateparks.org/stgeorgeisland/)

I am hoping this will be similar to the Jacksonville Picnic but for the fall

Pavilion Costs ($60)

Fursuiting on the beach
Games (Frisbee, etc whatever anyone brings)
Possibly a game of furry pictionary if I can get some interest

Needed Items

Hot Dogs
Side Items
Ice chests
Paper goods (Plates, cups, silverware, Napkins etc)
Lighter fluid
Cooking tools

Everyone bring your own sunblock and bug repentant (Not sure about insects due to time of year)

Proposed furry outing on Sunday (9/4/2011) Aug. 13th, 2011 @ 11:22 pm
Greetings all:

I am looking at starting a yearly NE Florida Furs picnic similar to the Jacksonville Furs Picnic. The date I am proposing is Sunday 9/4/2011 from 10 AM to 2 PM at St. George's Island. The location is rated one of the top 6 beaches in America and offers a pavilion for picnicking and swimming at the beach if some are interested.

I am floating the idea and the date for the event internally to the Tallyfurs list, but if it looks good to everyone I will lock in the date and post it to the Florida furs.

I will contact the park on Monday to assure that there is no problem with costumers who wish to wear their suits at the picnic and to assure the date IS available, but PLEASE provide me with some feedback on the event and what details we should plan on.

Hi out there in TV land!
Anyone have any experience with PostgreSQL with stored functions and triggers?
I know someone locally that can compensate with some money if you can
unravel some things for him.

Just hollar at me if you're up for it.
